Young Worcester dog show trainer crowned best in UK

Lucy Hiam was crowned Training Class of the Year at a prestigious award ceremony by Pawscars and made her mark in the ring at Crufts this month.
The 26-year-old, who has only been in the industry for a year and a half, said it has been very surreal.
The Pawscars award provides national recognition to those in the dog show world and Miss Hiam described how someone's business being put forward so soon into the industry is a rarity.
"It was an honour to be shortlisted in the top three, and hearing my business announced as the winner of Training Class of the Year at the awards was a surreal moment," said the Worcester resident.
"The award was announced at a black-tie event with around 500 people in attendance, and I was lucky enough to have my closest friends, my partner and some of my clients at my table to celebrate with me, which made it even more special.
